Strategic Priorities will guide the City Council Strategic Plan, which provides a foundation for planning & action over the next two to four years for the City of Edgewater. The priorities are listed in no particular order. Goals may adapt over time.

Edgewater will cultivate an ecosystem that supports affordable housing considering the spectrum of housing options; empowering people to access and/or remain in their homes for as long as they choose.
Diversity, Equity, Equality, and Inclusion
Edgewater will provide programs, services, and events that are representative of, and accessible to, our diverse community and create an atmosphere where diversity is celebrated, encouraged, and supported.
Community Experience
Edgewater will cultivate a vibrant community experience by enhancing public spaces, supporting local events, and fostering connections among residents through accessible and engaging programs that reflect the city's diverse character
Sustainability & Resilience
Edgewater will be a community that proactively works towards measurable improvements to prepare for and mitigate risks.
Business Community & Economics
Edgewater will foster a cycle of mutual support where the community, including the City, business owners, workers, patrons, and residents invest in each other.
Community Safety & Well-Being
Edgewater will prioritize holistic, diverse, and preventative measures to ensure that the entire city is, and also feels, safe, secure and cared for.
