You will need to complete the Residential Block Party Checklist and Application if your Block Party will be hosted:
- On a Street.
- In an Alley.
- At a Park.
No application is needed if you are hosting your block party in a backyard, home, or garage.
STEP 1: Review the Block Party Checklist
- Block party permits must be submitted 20 business day prior to event.
- Host must be a resident of the block to be closed and be 18 years of age.
- Block parties are for residents of the immediate neighborhood and are not open to the general public. No more than 100 people may attend.
STEP 2: Submit your Application
STEP 3: Confirmation from City Staff
When your application is complete, the City of Edgewater will provide the following:
- Insurance through the City.
- Barricades for street closure.
- Event & Application Fee waived.
